OSI is pleased to participate in National Culture days.  Our events take place on Saturday September 28th.  No reservations are needed.  Just show up.


Free OSI Excursion in Downtown Oshawa

Meet at the Four Corners (King and Simcoe) at noon for this free excursion of selected OshawaSpaceInvaders (OSI) sites. OSI turns downtown Oshawa into an "Art District" with ten galleries and free art exhibitions by seven artist groups. (www.oshawaspaceinvaders.com). 
Tour selected spaces with Gary Greenwood, an OSI organizer as he describes the event and the artwork. Ends at the UOIT Alger Building  (An Oshawa Doors Open Site) with a presentation by Oshawa’s famed Shoestring Performers

FREE Drawing Workshop by the Iris Group

Led by Rowena Dykins, Laura Hair and Sally Thurlow, IRIS Group is hosting a drop-in drawing workshop where participants will explore abstract art, working with images derived from Oshawa maps.     Materials supplied.

Free Mixed Media Workshop at Robert McLaughlin Gallery

Judith mason and Ramune Luminaire the artists behind the spectacular window exhibition at 8 Simcoe N. invite you to join the conversation as participants in the hands-on workshop.  Your artwork will be included with the exhibition.
