OshawaSpaceInvaders:  Contemporary Art in Temporary Spaces
A Celebration of Visual Art in Downtown Oshawa

(Oshawa – June 27, 2013)  
The streets of Downtown Oshawa will come alive with visual art from September 13 through 28th, 2013.   Celebrating the lively visual art scene in downtown Oshawa, seventy artists from six organizations will present exhibitions of artwork in vacant store spaces. Each group of artists represents a unique relationship to Oshawa and the Durham Region. Entitled OshawaSpaceInvaders, this exhibition in six spaces is supported by the Downtown Oshawa Business Improvement Area (BIA).
The Downtown BIA is working closely with OshawaSpaceInvaders  (OSI) to coordinate restaurants, pubs, music and retail events taking place throughout the event.  OSI will is taking place during Culture Days (September 27-29) and Oshawa Doors Open (September 28). OSI will be acknowledged at RMG First Friday on September 6th, the monthly public event of the Robert McLaughlin Gallery in Oshawa.
